The Journey of Isabelle Alepins, Blown Glass Artist
For over 10 years, Isabelle Alepins has been shaping glass artworks in her studio in Quebec. With a rich background combining design, art, and teaching, she has developed a unique artisanal style where each piece expresses emotion, light, and intention.
From Fashion to Glass – An Artistic Path Guided by Femininity
Isabelle Alepins' artistic journey is a continuous exploration of creation and femininity. From the world of fashion to hairstyling and design, she has always celebrated the fluidity of lines, the harmony of colors, and the beauty of feminine curves. These recurring elements reflect a strong artistic coherence, nourished by a unique sensibility and a deep appreciation for beauty.
The Entrepreneurial Spirit
Her entrepreneurial path was shaped by years working in her father's family business. This early experience gave her a strong foundation, allowing her to learn from both challenges and successes, and develop the mindset of a creative entrepreneur.
Glass – An Infinite Medium
Graduated in 2016 from the Centre des métiers du verre du Québec (Espace VERRE), Isabelle combines traditional glassblowing techniques, fusing, slumping, and hot shaping with a sense of wonder for the infinite creative possibilities of glass. She creates vibrant, organic forms that are both aesthetic and functional — imbued with meaning and crafted by hand.
Sharing the Craft
Since 2021, Isabelle Alepins has been teaching at Espace VERRE, Montreal's renowned glass school. She shares her passion and expertise with first-year DEC students and also offers weekend workshops, as well as private mentorship for visual artists looking to explore and integrate glasswork into their creative practice.
